Every so often, we would stay in a place for two nights and work on acclimatizing there a bit. This didn’t mean we had a rest day, but the acclimatization hike was usually a lot more mellow than our trekking days. Below, we were to hike to the top of this hill and over to the Hotel Everest View for a little break, and then return.
Above Namche proper is a museum which talks about the mountaineering and culture of the region.
I positioned the below photo of Tenzig Norgay (one of the first men to summit Everest with Edmund Hillary) to point his ice axe at Everest.
This was a nice hotel which had a reading room with a grand piano. They were already decorated for the holidays :)
Of course, more delicious pie afterwards!
