On our second date, we almost sarcastically mentioned our desire to summit Kilimanjaro someday. I wasn’t about to let that dream go unfulfilled, and so we made it happen. Here are the photos from our adventure to Tanzania and up to the top of the tallest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro.
Mitsy sorting the things she will be bringing on the trip. Below we are flying on Qatar airlines with a layover in the Hamad International Airport. After we jump on the next plane we’ll head over the Arabian Sea towards Africa, a first visit for the both of us.
Hamad International Airport was one of the nicest airports I’ve ever seen, as modern as they get. DOHA below.
First sights of Africa above, with Kilimanjaro below shrouded in clouds. We were unable to see it’s snow-capped peak until the following days.
Nice to be on the ground at our destination in Tanzania after almost two days of plane travel. This is Kilimanjaro International Airport, doesn’t exactly feel like a third world country.
