Sharing the things you love with the friends in your life is a beautiful thing. To me, the detachment from the everyday while being in the shadows of the things it has created is a strange feeling. Nighttime is when this sensation is increased, and walking down dimly lit alleys makes you feel like it wouldn’t take much just to disappear. She is a sweet girl, trusting yet guarded, and adventurous. Jess wanted to see a little bit about what it is like on a night alongside these lit streets, where soft distant conversation and train horns echo vaguely through the sky, where you never feel comfortable but somehow at peace. Our instincts guide the direction we walk, making you suspicious, and curious of the various possibilities. I showed her the rails, shadowy figures in the distance dissuaded us from progressing deeply, but together these empty streets never felt lonely.
